Hey Mama! Happy Autumn!
Are you loving this sweater weather as much as I am? And the colors… wow!
Autumn is the time of year when things start to go dormant. And I found myself feeling dormant too – not wanting to work, not wanting to interact, sometimes not even wanting to get dressed! Can you relate?
But we are busy Mamas, right?! We don’t have time to be dormant!
So what do we do? What can we do other than push through the exhaustion?
Well, it may seem counterintuitive, but what I do is amp up my self-care.
I know, I know… I can already hear you saying you don’t have time for that. But I’m telling you to make time.
If you prioritize yourself and spend a few minutes refreshing your mind and body, you will feel better. And that will make it so much easier to do all those things on your task list.
It doesn’t have to take long, and it doesn’t have to cost anything. One of my faves this week is having a cup of coffee on the porch with my kittens, just taking the time to relax and breathe the fresh autumn air. Another is going to bed just a bit earlier so I can get more rest. It’s far more beneficial than a few more minutes checked-out in front of the tv. Just a few minutes can have a huge impact, helping me get back to my business.
